Nisargopchar Kendra, Dhule was established in 1958 under Public Trust Act 1950, Registration No. F-37 (W.K.) and under Societies Registration Act-1860, Reg. No. BOM/60/W.K. as a charitable trust.

Damodardas Mundhra and Bansilal Gindodia were founder of institution with Dr. Devendranath Varma.

Dr. Devendranath Varma was born in Bihar in 1933. Since his childhood, he was impressed by Gandhi thought of Sarvodaya and particularly of "Kudrati Upchaar" i.e. Naturopathy.

After completing study he joined Railway service. He often visited seminars of Sarvodaya and closely observes the work of naturopathy as healing system and life style. He dreams of awakening of common people by means of naturopathy. His elder brother Mr. Kedarnath Varma recognizes his zeal of service and encourage him to join Ramkrishna Prakrutik Ashram, Bhimavaram (A.P.), a reputed naturopathy centre. He quit his Railway service and with his wife, Dr. Shail Kumari Varma joins Ram Krishna Prakrutik Ashram. In Ashram they saw many incurable were treated by Dr.begiraju Krishamraju.

Dr. Begiraju Krishnamraju was a greatest Naturopathy in his own time. He always tries to treat the physical and psychological illness of patient and in critical incurable patients he try to give mental gratification. These thoughts deep rooted in the mind of Dr. Devendranath Varma.

Damodardas Mundhra ( the secretory of Vinoba Bhave.) meets Dr. Devendranath Varma at Ramkrishna Prakrutik Ashram. He appreciated this quality of Dr. Devendranath Varma and invites them to work at Dhule.

After returning from Bhimavaram he joined Govt. service at Dhanbad. He was earning money, but his dreams were not nurtured, so he quit service as well as State. He came to Dhule in Maharashtra.

His capability of treating incurable disease, hard working, devotion towards patient and firm determination made him familiar in Dhule. In beginning , the centre was housed in rented premises. Without any financial aid from Government the centre flourish by generous public contribution, Now this centre is situated on 3 acres land with modern facilities.

He always implies his knowledge in progress of naturopathy with the help of simplest available technology to give scientific form.Without any discrimination about financial status of person he regards all patients. He was not only good practitioner but social reformer too. He believes in simple living and high thinking.
